Congressman Langevin supported the following items this month:

  • Passed H.R. 3684 – INVEST in America Act. This bill includes $19 million to repair roads in Rhode Island, as well as Congressman Langevin’s 21st Century Transportation Workforce Development Act to create a public-private partnership dedicated to getting people into good-paying jobs in the transportation workforce.
  • Cosponsored H.R. 2037 – Jumpstart Our Businesses By Supporting Students (JOBS) Act. This bill expands Pell Grant eligibility to qualifying short-term training programs so that more Americans can access industry recognized credentials.
  • Letter  From Members of Congress to Congressional leadership to ensure that robust federal funding for workforce development is prioritized in the upcoming reconciliation package. Specifically, this letter calls for at least $100 billion in new spending for workforce development.
